Walk With GOD

Enoch and Noah both "walked with GOD" (GEN 5:24; 6:9). "Walked with God" suggests they included God in much more than just a few isolated prayers. Prayer is good, but that communion with God should not end when we are doing other things like working, eating, exercising or relaxing. The Bible has a great deal to say about walking with God. It is how we were intended to live. It was sin and shame that made Adam and Eve hide when they heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day (Genesis 3:8). God's desire for us is that we walk humbly in a relationship with him (Micah 6:8). This is what Jesus has made possible again (1 John 2:6). We will stumble from time to time, but one day we will walk with Him, dressed in white (Revelation 3:4).

Have you found it difficult to "Walk with GOD" in your daily life? My best days start with the thought that my goal is to walk with GOD, but even with the best start, it is way too easy to spend most of the day consumed by worldly thoughts and concerns. Evening comes and I realize walking with GOD never got so much as another passing thought. Another day of infinite opportunity has passed and I was just another mindless minion of the world.

Jesus said, "I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:20).

Amen!

Has "Amen" become the same as hanging up the phone? Amen should be spoken to express solemn ratification or enthusiastic agreement with the preceding prayer or statement, not simply "The End", "goodbye, "click-buzz".
